You may select a business that is no longer operating if you would like to. You must use multiple sources to determine important events that made the business a success, including any struggles that they might have overcome and the ones that might have led to their demise. You must also include evidence in your summary of your timeline that supports your theory as to why the business is / was unsuccessful.
Group 3
You will research a startup business and determine what they need to do in order to be a success and what might cause them to fail. The business you select must be officially registered with NASDAQ and have been in business 0-3 years. You may select a business that is completely new or one that has been in business under three years. You must use multiple sources to determine important events that have been a part of the business so far so be sure that there is enough history in relation to your startup choice for 8 events. You must also include evidence in your summary of your timeline that supports your theory as to why the business could either be a success or a failure over time. All Groups
- Must show that you took notes on the required reading on an appropriate program such as Microsoft OneNote, another good option is EverNote. You will need to print a copy of your notes or e-mail them to your teacher as proof that you completed this part of the WebQuest.
- Use a school approved web-browser for your research. From past experience, Duck Duck Go is a good option that provides safe and secure searching options.
- Research a business that fits your group's criteria making sure to include at least 8 important events in the business' history.
- Use multiple resources and thoroughly research the business you have selected. Below are a few resources that you might want to look at.
- Create a timeline of the business' you have selected using the website Time Toast.
- After you have created your timeline you will need to create an educational blog about your business or a presentation. If you choose the educational blog option you need to create it using the website EDU Blogs. If you choose the presentation option you need to create it using PowerPoint or Prezi. Either option must include eight timeline events, a link to your timeline on Time Toast, relevant images pertaining to the business events, evidence gathered from the required readings and other sources, and properly cited references to create a complete picture of the business that you have researched on this WebQuest.
